the attention of The some traditional authority has been drawn to a statement by Mr Williams Amuzu Agbodzalu a regent of Torgbui Saba and its subsequent publication in the media – precisely the Ghana web.
As the authority under whose auspices all shrines in some operate, we wish to act to the publication of the statement as follows:
1. That the some traditional authority was not privy to the said statement and therefore does not endorse it.
2. That some traditional authority is aware of the seriousness of the covid-19 pandemic
3. That the traditional authority in conjunction with the leaders of the Zakadza shrine wholly supports the measures being adopted by the Government to combat the pandemic
4. That the Zakadza shrine will also do everything in its power to help in the combat of the virus.
5. That efforts are in the process to consult Torgbui Zakadza on the way to combat the pandemic
6. That the rituals to that effect will commence on the 19th April 2020.
7. That the rituals are a private performance to which the public is not invited in compliance with the directives of the Government.
The Some Traditional Authority has therefore retracted the first statement. We are very sorry for the misinformation and the inconvenience that the earlier statement might have caused. THANK YOU.
